Wells” Award pays tribute to those who selflessly share their time\, talent and treasure for the betterment of Confluence Health and our community. \nDr. Parks was unanimously selected as this year’s recipient of the 26th “Spirit of A.Z. Wells” award. When Dr. Parks returned to Wenatchee to start his orthodontics practice in 1980\, the community gained a talented doctor and a loyal friend. Over the last 37 years\, Dr. Parks has been devoted to the Wenatchee Valley\, and has served in various volunteer capacities\, such as the director general of the Apple Blossom Festival\, president of the Downtown Rotary Club\, performer for the Wenatchee Follies Guild\, and board member of the United Way and Salvation Army. \nSome of the most notable aspects of Dr. Parks’ service are his important contributions to the transformation of healthcare in North Central Washington. Dr. Parks has been a committed supporter of Central Washington Hospital and Confluence Health for over 24 years\, first serving as a board member of the Central Washington Hospital Foundation and later as the president of the Central Washington Hospital Board of Directors. As president\, he provided leadership throughout the challenging affiliation with Wenatchee Valley Clinic\, a role that demonstrated his dedication to protecting the integrity of our local healthcare – a legacy that will benefit our community for years to come. \nRegister
