SUMMARY:Legal Advocates Training
DESCRIPTION:Washington’s Statewide Legal Advocate Training convenes civil legal aid attorneys and other front-line and case-handling advocates from across the Alliance for Equal Justice. This biannual training provides a unique opportunity for advocates to develop their skills and substantive law knowledge in service to their clients. \nThis year’s training theme is “The Urgency of Now: Tools for Adaptive Lawyering.” Given the rapidly shifting environment our clients and communities are faced with\, how can we as equity and justice advocates ensure that our efforts are responsive\, innovative\, and adaptive? How can we more effectively and collaboratively work toward our collective goal toward identifying and eliminating barriers that deny justice and perpetuate poverty? \nThis year’s program is intended to further Alliance advocates’ ability to carry out the core priorities articulated in the Access to Justice Board’s 2018-2020 State Plan for the Coordinated Delivery of Legal Aid to Low-Income People. We encourage you to take advantage of every opportunity to learn\, connect\, collaborate\, and re-energize in furtherance of your critical work at this critical time. We look forward to seeing you in Wenatchee! \n
